Our April 2023 Pop-Up One Day Exhibition and Sales event
On Saturday 29th April 2023 we held a one day event where we showcased our Art, Pottery and Glass Fusing work. It took place in Springfield House, High Street, Stevenage between 9am and 3pm. Entrance was free and we offered complimentary tea and coffee as well so that visitors could sip while they browsed. The event was well attended and we sold a number of pieces of art, pottery and glass as well as greetings cards made using our own artwork. Click on the slide show below to see photos that were taken at this Pop-Up Exhibition.

STEVENAGE FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS - SUMMER 2023
Stevenage Festival of the Arts provides a showcase for all the exciting talent that we have right here on our doorsteps in the Stevenage area. It takes place every two years and involves something like two thousand local performers and artists of all descriptions. The core of the Festival is a series of performances in the Gordon Craig Theatre and there will also be a vibrant fringe of smaller events taking place around the town. The Stevenage Arts Society is happy to support the Festival by running some demonstrations and exhibitions at Springfield House which are open to the public. FUSED GLASS DEMONSTRATIONS AND EXHIBITION - Saturday 17 June 2023 There will be glass fusing sessions (fully booked) running in the Pottery and the subject will be Beach Huts. Visitors can come into the Pottery to see how we make the designs. POTTERY DEMONSTRATIONS AND EXHIBITION - Saturday 24 June 2023 Some of our Members will be making pottery items in the Pottery and visitors can come into the Pottery to watch and chat to the Potters. PAINTING DEMONSTRATIONS AND EXHIBITION - Saturday 1st July 2023 In our upstairs Art Studio in Springfield House some of our Artists will be painting Seascapes and Lakes and visitors are welcome to come and watch and speak to our Artists. On each day there will also be a small exhibition of fused glass, paintings, pottery and sculpture produced by members of the Society in the Oak Room in Springfield House. Some of the items will be for sale so it's your chance to pick up an individual piece of work, either for yourself or as a gift. |
