We have an Art Studio upstairs in Springfield House for use by members of the Society. This room is laid out with tables and chairs and easels if required. We also have a library with binders of photographs to inspire artists when they need help with ideas and plenty of back issues of various artist magazines.
The Studio is in regular use during the week when members get together for informal painting/drawing sessions. Artists bring their own materials to use during these sessions. Any member of the Society can join one or more of these groups for a fee of £2 per session. Tea and coffee (and sometimes even biscuits) are available.

Tuesday 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Wednesday 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Thursday 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Beginners and those with a bit of experience, are welcome to come along; you will be made welcome and we are happy to give advice and encouragement. Please bring your own materials.
Prospective members, who would like to 'try-before-you-buy', can attend any 2 sessions on payment of the £2 charge each time. Any session (Art, Pottery or Glass Fusing, glass and pottery charge is £5) can be attended on this basis, so you can try our various activities before you decide if you like us and want to become a full member of the Society (£30pa). If you wish to come to a session please email us to arrange a visit. We will make you welcome.
Sadly we are unable to teach formal art classes but members at the weekly sessions are always happy to help and advise where needed.
Outside these sessions, any member of the Society can use the Art Studio for their own art purposes on payment of the £2 fee.
